The role

The purpose of this position is to develop and implement the supply chain strategy and ensure the achievement of results. The incumbent is responsible for internal/external coordination and collaboration, ensuring a quality/price approach across all supply chain functions, and providing technical guidance across various functions (e.g., purchasing, fleet, assets and warehouses, capacity building). A key part of this role is providing strategic and real-time advice to the Senior Management Team. The incumbent plays a crucial role as the custodian of supply chain policies and procedures at the national and international levels and identifies necessary policy changes.

Qualifications and experience

  • Master’s degree in business/public administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or any other related discipline. A Bachelor's degree/Certification in Supply Chain/Logistics is a plus;
  • At least 7 years of experience at a supply chain management level is recommended, with a minimum of 3 years supervising senior international positions in a high-risk security environment;
  • Significant operational supply chain management experience with INGOs in a broad and complex humanitarian context;
  • In designing and implementing complex supply chain strategies to support programs in achieving their objectives;
  • Substantial experience in medicine management, all technical areas of the humanitarian supply chain such as procurement, transportation, distribution, warehousing and inventory management, fleet management, and asset management;
  • Working remotely in offices with limited infrastructure;
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze complex information and make decisions;
  • Experience supporting and advising others on all aspects of a given program's supply chain, including strategy planning and donor relations;
  • Ability to quickly build positive and productive relationships with other internal and external stakeholders;
  • Excellent skills in planning, managing, and coordinating complex workloads and diverse responsibilities:
  • Excellent level (speaking and writing) of French and English;
  • Good communication (speaking and writing), and interpersonal skills in English required;



    Contract length:



    12 months
